Eyeliner pens and pencils are thin and often longer than most cosmetic packaging is built for, so getting the box length right without leaving too much empty space matters more here than it seems. We build a fitted slot or a die-cut tray so the liner sits snug and doesn't rattle around, especially with pencil formats that can snap the tip if they're loose inside the box.

Material is SBS board, 300 to 400 GSM, kept light since eyeliner boxes are small and often ordered across multiple shades at once. Keeping the board weight reasonable helps manage costs when a brand is running a full colour range rather than just one or two SKUs.

Printing is full CMYK or Pantone, with shade names and swatches needing to stay clear and accurately matched at a small scale. Foil stamping in gold, silver, or copper suits brand names well here, and lamination comes in gloss, matte, or soft-touch — gloss tends to fit bolder, colour-forward ranges, while matte or soft-touch suits more neutral or premium lines. A narrow window cut-out is also an option, letting the tip or shade colour show without opening the box.
